Today is Tip #10 of the 10 Step Perfect Sales Strategy.

And here’s the Tip: Play through the Sale.

What do I mean by that? I simply mean to ask for referrals!

Now, many of you know that I come from a network marketing background. That was my first experience in sales. And I have seen so many people “make that sale”: they get their cousin, or a sister, or a mom, dad or a friend to sign up for whatever it is that they’re selling. And they’er so excited that they made that sale, that now they just sit and wait to see what’s going to happen next.

And they never learn to play through that sale.

They way I was able to build organizations of 10’s of 1000’s of people was not because I made 10’s of 1000’s of sales, but because I was always playing through the sale by always asking: “Who do you know who _________?”

Who do you know who would also like to lose some weight? Who do you know who would also like more energy? Who do you know who would also like to buy a brand new Cadillac? Who do you know who also needs more life insurance to secure their family?

And so when I say “play through the sale”, I’m reminding you to always ask for referrals! Each single sale is not a final destination. It’s simply a pathway into another sale, and another sale, and another sale.

You see, a sale will get you paid, but playing the referral game….that will make you a living!
