Today is Tip #2: Find Your Zone
Now, what do I mean about “finding your zone”?
I’m really talking about finding that positive place where you’re in a positive frame of mind, and there’s no negative stuff going on in the back ground (of your brain). You’re not thinking about: “What if this prospect says ‘no’?” or “Am I going to be able to close the deal?”
Don’t worry about any of that stuff! Just push fear aside, get into your positive place, go in there with a smile on your face, and remember that you’re not looking to “sell” anybody on anything. You’re really just looking to see if it’s a fit. It’s almost like Cinderella and her slipper, when the prince came throughout the empire sliding that slipper on different feet of different ladies until he found the right one.
That’s really what sales is.
So all you’re doing is going from person to person and opportunity to opportunity, to see if what it is that you’re selling or marketing is a fit for them. And if it’s not… thank them, shake their hand, move on, and don’t worry about it.
Stay in that positive place. And I’ll tell you what, you’re going to make a lot more sales just because people will feel that positive flow coming from you.
