Today we’re on Tip #3, and it’s a really important one. I hope that it impacts you, because it could really make the difference between you making more sales or not making very many sales.

Tip #3 is this: Questions Your Way to the Sale

Now, most people want to tell their way to the sale. They like to talk about the features of their product and how great it is. But I’m telling you: the thing that’s most important when you’re selling, is what’s going on in the heart and mind of the person that’s taking a look at the product or service that you’re marketing.

So, you need to be asking them detailed questions about what they’re looking for.

If you’re selling cars, ask them what they are looking for in a car. If you’re selling houses, ask them what they’re looking for in a house. If you’re marketing a home based business, find out what they are looking for in their life…what hole that needs to be filled.

And on that point: it was said many years ago that 1000s of people going to Sears every single year to buy a drill, and most of them don’t even want a drill. What they’re really looking for is…..a hole.

So, you just have to know what that customer or client is looking for. And how are you going to know unless you’re asking questions?
