Welcome back to 90 with Nate!

I’m giving you guys 5 Tips on How to Create a Larger Social Following.

And the 2nd tip I have for you is this: Add Value

Now, we hear that a lot; so what does it mean? I have 3 ideas for you:

  1. You need to find a problem that you see people having. What is something that you know about that other people are having challenges with or that they want to know about?
  2. Secondly, you just provide the answer or the solution to that problem. I’ll use myself as an example: I’m not a grill guy. I wish that I was a grill guy, but I’m just not very good at grilling. I don’t know anything about meat temperatures, or how long to leave the meat or steak on the grill. So every time I get the grill going and I’m going to cook some steaks, I have to pull out my phone and I go to a foodie blog and I have to read about how long to leave the steaks on for say, a medium or a medium well steak. And there are people who have solved that problem for me, so that I can just go read…I can consume their content…now I know how to cook my steaks for my family and me.
  3. And then the third thing that I want to say is to make sure that the value that you’re adding really is valuable! That when people come to your content and they have a problem, that you’ve solved that problem. Give them a little bit extra! So…when I go to a blog and it teaches me how to cook my steak at the right temperature for the right amount of time, they might even say that as a nice side here’s a unique recipe for how to cook my potatoes on the grill. Right?! It’s just a little extra value that leaves me going away saying, “Wow! That was really a great blog! They next time I want to grill chicken, I’m going to bookmark this site so that I can come back to this blog.”

So there’s an extra little tip for you today on how to get more followers engaging with you.
