Welcome back to 90 with Nate!
John C Maxwell’s Law of Environment says this: Growth Thrives in Conducive Environments
Now I don’t know about you, but I have found myself in some environments that were definitely not conducive for growth.
Maybe in real time we’re not always aware of it, and then we look back on those experiences and we realize, “Man! That wasn’t really a good environment for me to be in!”
This can happen on a moment by moment basis, and it can even happen over a long period of time.
For instance: you may find yourself momentarily in a difficult situation; but sometimes when we’re just in the grind we can look back after years of maybe being in a bad relationship or maybe being in a bad work situation…and we realize, “Wow! That environment was really conducive for my growth.”
And so the first thing you need to do is to be aware of your environment. Start to practice living in awareness and begin considering the things that are going on around you.
Then you need to know when it’s time to change environments. Sometimes you’ve just got to walk away from a bad conversation. Sometimes it’s time to walk away from a job that’s not getting you to where you want to go.
Always remember that it’s your job to put yourself in good environments if you’re going to choose to grow.
